Job description

My client is a leading consultancy with a very successful and expanding renewable energy business in Asia. Owing to demand from new clients, they are expanding this business out of their Singapore office and are looking for a Senior Consultant to join the team. This role will be an exciting and varied role moving between projects and will require frequent travel across Asia Pacific and China.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Advising clients on various aspects of business development, project development, site acquisition and EPC contractors
• Travelling frequently to client sites and working onsite regularly to train clients on any of the above issues
• Business development - actively seeking out new clients in the renewable energy project development (particularly solar PV and wind - hydro and biomass are also covered but not considered primary markets)
• Reporting into the Head of Renewable Energy Projects in Singapore
• Delegating to and managing junior consultants

Skills and experience needed:

• 10+ years\' experience in energy consulting including the last 4 years in renewable energy specifically
• Fluency in any regional languages could be an advantage, especially Mandarin Chinese
• Flexible to travel, and be based out of Singapore, with the necessary work permits to work in Singapore
• Alternative candidates could have a background in a renewable energy project development company but in this instance need at least 6 years\' experience in a senior role in renewable energy project development, preferably in Asia.
