Operations Manager, Solar Cell Manufacturing, Germany, €70,000 - 100,000 depending on experience

My client is a leading manufacturer of semiconductor components, silicon/wafer technology and solar/thin-film modules with a global client base. Owing to a strong increase in demand in 2009, and a high growth forecast for 2010, they are expanding their operations and are now looking to hire an Operations Manager for their manufacturing team in Germany to oversee the team focusing on fabrication and development.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Overseeing a team of solar/semiconductor fabrication specialists
• Working alongside the CFO and COO to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing plant
• Taking responsibility for the management of Project Managers

Skills and qualifications required:

• MSC or PHD in Applied Physics, Thin-Film or Semiconductor Engineering or a similar discipline
• Willing to live/work in Germany
• 5+ years\' experience in solar/semiconductor fabrication and having overseen at least 2 major projects as Operations Manager
• Significant people management experience
• German language skills highly desirable
