Job description

My client is a leading global DOE. Owing to a large number of emission reduction projects coming to validation and verification stage, they are looking to hire an additional member of the GHG auditing team to focus on the validation and verification of Clean Development Mechanism and other emission reduction projects across China.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Validation and verification for GHG (greenhouse gas) projects under CDM (Clean Development Mechanism), VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standard), GS (Gold Standard), etc
• GHG and energy auditing for other projects
• Interviewing clients to establish details in documentation (PDDs etc)
• Reviewing Project Design Documents (PDDs) and Project Idea Notes (PINs)
• Emission reduction calculations

Skills and qualifications required:

• Educated to MSC level from a good university in one of the following subjects: environmental engineering, environmental management, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering
• At least 1 year work experience in the GHG auditing space
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
• Strong team player, good communication skills, hard working and keen to succeed
• Able to live and work in Shanghai and travel frequently across China and other countries in Asia and Europe
