ClientEarth is a non-profit environmental law, science and policy organisation based in London and Brussels. We act as advocates for the planet with dedicated legal and technical capacity for the environment.
Vision
We celebrate the diversity of life and human experience. We recognise the right of human beings to a healthy environment. Environmental law has come into being over the last forty years to express this right and mould it into enforceable obligations.
Our right to a healthy environment is still in its infancy and still fragile. Like all fundamental human rights – including those to liberty and free speech – it must be given expression in legislation and vigorously defended to develop fully.
We work for the Earth and all who sail upon her.
What we do
We work to protect the environment through advocacy, lobbying, litigation and research. We use the best scientific and policy analysis when choosing strategic directions. Legal action, whether lobbying or in cases before courts and administrative bodies, will be built on solid law and science.
Non-governmental organisations are important stakeholders and a critical voice for the changes the planet needs. We seek to work closely with the NGO community in Europe. As dedicated public interest lawyers, we bring the expertise and capabilities to strengthen campaigns with legal analysis and advocacy.
