Job description

My client is a well-known trading house, with a carbon arm to their business that originates carbon credit deals across the world. As part of their expansion plans for 2010, they are now looking for a new originator to manage their carbon portfolio from their office in London. This is an exciting new hire for a candidate looking to build on the experience they have already gained in the carbon market, with a competitive salary and attractive bonus package available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitoring and researching the carbon market to identify suitable business opportunities for the carbon credit portfolio

• Originating new CDM/JI projects across the global carbon market

• Managing the existing portfolio of projects

• Monetising the credit portfolio from the company\'s head office

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience of origination CDM/JI projects

• Trading experience of CERs/VERs/AAUs/EUAs

• Able to speak at least one foreign language

• Able to travel regularly
