Environmental and Impact Assessment Specialist
Based in Norway with Extensive world travel

Unique opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering and design consultancy with projects all over the world. Our client is seeking an experienced and versatile consultant to join their business to undertake a range of work, from the Norwegian offices and on site around the World.
We are interested to talk to people or can undertake the majority of the following:
- Prepare environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs) to international standards (e.g. IFC)
- Prepare environmental management and monitoring plans for infrastructure development projects
- Act as project manager and team leader on environmental projects internationally
- Design and quality assure baseline and impact studies on the natural and human environment for projects in the natural resource use, water, transportation and energy sectors
- Direct multidiscipline teams of specialists in the field
- Prepare and analyse spatial data using suitable tools and methodology (ability to use ARC-GIS/ ARC-View advantageous)
- Bid and proposal preparation
- Work with water resource planners, developers and consultants to ensure that factors affecting the natural environment are considered.
- Create an overall concept that meets the specific need of a community / region / project while taking into account the environmental and social impact.
- Plan, manage and report environmental program activities and progress
- Gather, analyze and interpret technical data pertaining to environmental and water issues, conduct studies, reviews and evaluations to form accurate conclusions and projections
- Evaluate, interpret and integrate findings, models and statistical data from multiple, complex research studies and investigations and draw sound conclusions regarding their short- and long-term implications for specific sectors and the environment in general.
Experience
Language: Fluency in English. Strong oral and written communication skills
Education: MSc or higher educational degree in environmental management, environmental science or similar.
Experience: 5 years + of relevant experience. International experience within the field desirable.
